The Student Toolbar also highlights when help is needed, delivers one-click access to shared documents, the student journal and even their USB pen drive.

Multi-platform support

There are dedicated versions for all leading desktop and mobile platforms, including Windows, Mac, Chromebooks, Android and iOS – and NetSupport School even allows teachers to connect to students using a full mix of different platforms.

Teacher App for Windows 10 – In addition to all the expected core classroom features, the dedicated Tutor app for Windows also gives particular focus to the integration of key Windows 10 and Office 365 educational services.

iOS / Android support – The NetSupport School Student for Android and iOS ensures students using these devices can still join with your NetSupport School-managed lessons. The Tutor Assistant for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones delivers the freedom for a teacher to move around the classroom while still being able to monitor and interact with the class.

Show mode

With NetSupport School, it is possible to Show the teacher’s screen to a number of connected Students. It is also possible to show an individual Student’s screen on selected or all Students’ screens. This is useful in situations when Student ‘A’ has produced some work which you wish to show to rest of the class. Plus, the teacher can show just a selected application to students, a replay file and much more! 

Language Lab 

Ideally suited for the modern foreign languages classroom. Simultaneously view all student screens and see in an instant which computers have live audio activity. Select one of the displayed student thumbnails to listen to the audio being played on that PC. Listen to a student’s microphone feed and correct pronunciation, chat or simply engage with each student individually without disrupting the lesson. Plus, audio activity can also be recorded and played back to students.

Virtual whiteboard

A full screen interactive whiteboard is integrated directly within the Tutor software and is supported by a wealth of drawing and annotation tools for improved collaboration within the classroom. It can be shown in real time to all students in the class and, when needed, they can all interact with it.

Assessment

Conduct instant assessment of student understanding with our unique Question and Answer Module: deliver questions verbally, select students to answer by random, first to answer or in teams, and then bounce the questions to multiple students; ask the whole class to peer assess a response and score responses throughout the process. No lengthy preplanning, no resources needed in advance; simply assess and vary the questioning as the topic develops.

Integration with Google Classroom

NetSupport School now provides integration with Google Classroom. Using a Windows desktop Tutor, and with the NetSupport Name & Connectivity Server (NCS Gateway) installed, the teacher can connect to students’ devices (including Chromebooks) using the “ready to connect” class lists direct from Google Classroom. Not only does this new feature help teachers to save time when setting up their technology-led lessons, but also it offers more flexibility when connecting to student devices.

NetSupport School for macOS

The NetSupport School tutor will now connect to macOS devices using ‘NetSupport School for macOS’ (previously known as NetSupport Assist). With a completely refreshed user interface to make it even easier for teachers to identify and navigate to features, NetSupport School for macOS provides extra flexibility to allow them to connect from a Mac device to students using a full mix of different platforms including Mac, Chromebooks, Windows, iOS and Android. Plus, the teacher can connect to a Mac student from any device/platform.
